Dr. B.Jambulingam On the fi rst day of e very month we are discussing about the experiences faced while seeing the Buddha statues. During this month I wish to share the experiences which I had  individually and with the other help of other scholars while I had been on field work, from 1993 to 2012, to find out the Buddha statues.Of the statues which were identfied, during the past 20 years, many of them belonged to Tiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu. புத்தர் சிலையைப் பார்க்கச் சென்றப ோது கிடைத்த அனுபவம் பற்றி ஒவ்வ ொரு மாதமும் முதல் நாள் விவாதிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. இந்த மாதம் ஒவ்வ ொ ரு மா வட்டத்திலும் புதிதாக என்னால் தனியாகவும், பிற அறிஞர்கள் துணையுடனும்  1993இல் பௌத்த ஆய்வு தொடங்கிய நாள் முதல் 2012 வரை கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்ட புத்தர் சிலைகளைப் பார்க்க அழைத்துச்செல்ல விரும்புகிறேன். 20 ஆண்டுகளில் அதிகமா கப் புத்தர் சிலைகள் பார்த்த இடமான  திருவாரூர் மாவட்டத்திற்கு முதலி ல் அழைக்கிறேன்.வாருங்கள் பயணிப்ப ோம்.   புதூர்  (2000) புத ூர் புத்தர்  புகைப்படம் ஜம்புலிங்கம் திருவாரூர் வட்டத்தில் திருநெல்லிக்காவல் புகைவண்டி நிலையம் அருகே உள்ள புதூர் என்னும் சிற்றூரில் அமர்ந்த நிலையில் தியான கோலத்தில் ஒரு புத்தர் சிலை களப்ப ணியின்போது கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டது. திரு சிங்காரவேலன் துணையுடன் சுமார் 25 கிமீ மிதிவண்டியில் பல இடங்களில் சுற்றித் திரிந்தபின் இறுதியில் இச்சிலையைக் காணமுடிந்தது. திருமணமாகாத பெண்கள் இச்சிலையைச் சுற்றி வந்தால் திருமணம் நடைபெறும் என நம்புகிறார்கள். சிலையின்...
